Equipment log for the FEI Nova Nanolab 200 FIB/SEM

A new Ion column has been installed in the Quanta and all neccessary alignments have been carried out. The tool should be working fine (for any desired accelerating voltage and apperture current) . The software has been upgraded, but the user interface is the same and there should be no problems using it. The Platinum source in the Quanta is not yet replaced ( as we havent had any problems with deposition). If you have any issues with Pt Deposition please let us know that way we know we have run out of source. Preventive Maintenance on the Nova is scheduled to be on the 13th, 14th and 15th of this month (M-W). The field engineer will be here, and the tool will be marked down for 3 days. An email will be sent out once the tool is up and ready to be used (Nova). Also the individual user login on the Quanta need to be recreated, till then please use Username : user Password : mirc all small cases for logging purposes. Please contact Joel once he is back, to reset your login id and password. Please note this temporary login is only for the Quanta.

The Nova is still under PM-Preventive Maintenance. The apertures have been changed in both columns and the service engineer is running the final alignments and backups currently. An email will be sent once the tool is back up which will hopefully be by noon tomorrow
