LOGITECH PM5 POLISHER

Operating Instructions

  1. Log on to the access Controller
  2. Turn on green Power switch located on lower right hand side of unit.
  3. Press Power On/Off button located on left-hand side of console face.
  4. On LCD display press the set up sensors button.
  5. Press Set LVDT Height. (This performs a self-test on the vacuum and test the height adjustment sensor.
  6. Wait for vacuum to stabilize (about 30 seconds).
  7. Once vacuum is stable the LVDT height reading will appear. This reading should be 0 with an error tolerance of +/- 500. If the reading is out of tolerance please contact MIRC Staff.
  8. After your LVDT height measurement falls into spec. Press Exit.
  9. Press set LVDT Offset. This will calibrate the offset to a 0 reading.
  10. Press exit.
  11. Make sure all Jigs and roller arms are removed from machine. Press set up sweep. (This allows you to set up the roller arms inner or outer swing. Also allows you to set the speed of the swing or to turn the sweep off completely.
  12. Place roller arms back onto the roller arm shafts.
  13. 1st setting is the inner arm sweep limit. 0% is minimum value and 94% is maximum value. Press the + button to increase value toward 94%. Press the ? button to decrease value towards 0%. The Arms will move as you adjust the values. Once you have the desired inner swing press next to go to the 2nd setting.
  14. The 2nd setting is outer arm sweep limit. 41% is the minimum and 100% is the maximum value. Press the + button to increase value toward 100%. Press the ? button to decrease value towards 41%. The Arms will move as you adjust the values. Once you have the desired outter swing press next To go to the 3rd setting.
  15. The 3rd setting is speed. Usually set to set to 50%. Will adjust between 1% and 100%. Press the + key to go toward 100% or speed up. Press the -  key to go toward 1% or to slow down the sweep. Once you have reached your desired speed press next. This will take you to the 4th setting.
  16. The 4th setting is Sweep On/Off. The 4th screen is the jig position control screen. Press the static button in the lower left hand corner of the screen and this will turn the sweep off. Press the sweeping button in the lower left hand corner and that will turn the sweep back on. This screen also displays the 4 settings you just setup inner sweep, outer sweep, speed, and sweep On/Off. Verify your settings are correct. When done press exit to save. Exiting any other way will result in your settings being erased and the default settings will remain.
  17. Press Polish button
